      Reading these stories from the early 1900s never ceases to amaze me how tough people were back then both mentally and physically. At first you think, OK they rode 10k on a 1915 Indian. Besides having backs and kidneys made of steel, then you think, man the roads had to really suck in 1915 and then there weren't restaurants, gas stations, hotels, or repair parts houses every 30 miles like today. If those two guys were plopped into todays society they'd think we were a bunch of sissy's. LOL
