I was lucky to have both Bud Schmidt and Pete Hill visit our pit at the BUB Speed Trials on the Bonneville Salt Flats last August. They told stories for hours ! Bud rode The Monster to 157 mph at Bonneville in 1955. During the early 50's he ruled Half Day drag strip north of Chicago with the bike. He ran 10's at 130 !
