Hello,
The Barber Vintage Weekend "Race of the Century" is just around the Corner. There is still time for anyone with a 1912 or earlier Motorcycle.
This years early entry Line-up includes:
Buck Carson – Who is currently on the Motorcycle Cannonball, will return this year riding a 1911 Triumph Single – Buck is still gunning for 1st place in Class One on the Cannonball
Art Farley – Also Currently riding in the Motorcycle Cannonball with return Riding Grady Ellis’s 1909 Excelsior Single – Art is currently in 13th place
Joe Gardella – Riding in the Motorcycle Cannon will return to defend his 1st place title on a 1912 Harley Twin – Joe is running in 2nd place on the Cannonball – Look Out Brad, Joe doesn’t give UP!!
Bruce Kannry – Comes to Barber for the 1st time riding a 1912 Indian Board-Tracker – Good Luck Bruce – Looking forward to meeting you
Bill Rodencal will be assisting Bruce
Will Paley – Another 1st Time Entry, riding a 1906 Griffon V Twin – Can’t wait to see this bike in person!!
Dale & Matt Walksler will Tag team the Barber Motorsports Park with a 1912 Indian Twin & a 1911 Indian Single – Dale has been involved with nearly every one of the ROC events –
We are happy to see Matt entered this year with his own ride.
Jack Wells – will be riding a 1912 Abbington King Dick – I have done some homework on this bike and researched his bike on the internet – This is another bike we cannot wait to view in person.
Dwayne McLemore - has entered his 1911 Levis 220cc – I saw his bike at Davenport and he is ready to bring it to the Barber Vintage Weekend
We are Still hoping to see the Winner of the very 1st Race of the Century, Bruce Linsday – Bruce won the 1st race in 2005
We are also confident that the Barber Museum will surely sneak a couple of 1912 models out on the Track .
If you are interested in bringing a Motorcycle to the event, please e-mail me davidlloyd44@comcast.net
Please remember, after the race, we are inviting all of the Century Motorcycles to return to the AMCA “Bike Show area” for a display photo and People’s choice Show
I am looking forward to seeing everyone this year – We want everyone to remember safety First when on the Track – and all riders will have to have D.O.T. helmets while on the Track. Period correct clothing and gear is perfectly fine on the Paddock area.
Thanks Again
