Knucklehead Rocker Box date codes

Does anyone know what the knucklehead aluminum rocker box date codes mean? I thought the letter was the month of manufacture and the number stood for the last number of the year. Like F-6 means June of 1946. Anyone know if this is right or does it mean something else?

You are correct. F 6 on a knuckle rocker box is June 1946.

Thanks. Does anyone know the part numbers for mid 1946 - 1947 rocker boxes left and right? The Palmer book doesn't give it unless I missed it. Thanks again.
