  • Question about taillight?

I need some help, I'm trying to identify what taillight I have. On a beehive taillight, Is there a deference between a flathead taillight and a knucklehead taillight? Thanks for your time, TB

No difference from model to model, everything used the same one. However there are two versions and yours appears to be the early one with wire clips holding in the lenses. It was used from '39 -'41. The '42-'46 type uses flat clips to hold the lenses and has straight slotted screws visible on the outside that hold the clips.

Yes, the Servi-Car is unique for the early version, which has a -39A part number rather than just -39. The question didn't mention Servi-Car, only flathead, so a 45 or U series is the same as Knuckle. Some of the '39 only numbers are unique as well because '39 was the last year for brake lights as an option and the wiring is for a single filament bulb. From '40 on it is set up for two filaments.
So, tbkickstart, what do the internal parts look like and how is the shell configured?
