Lynite Primary Cover-Help Identify

Hi Jim,

I think it is an Indian twin helical gear driven primary case. I believe that style was used from 1920 to ?1932? However, I don't know the specific model yours fits, Scout, Chief, etc. Hopefully someone more familiar with these models can chime in.

It looks like Scout through 101 because of the boss for the generator drive.

It is a 37" Pre-101 Scout cover. The clue's are the Gen Drive was Scout only and the Small Trans was 37". If it were the large trans (45") there would be a indent at about 5 O'clock around the large hole when looked at it from the front. It appears that there are 4 studs for the Gen Driver and that would make it later in that run of style cover. I am not sure if the 37" 101 still used the Small Trans or used the same as the 45", but knowing Indian they probably used the same one, that is why I GUESS Pre-101.
