Don't know the bike but it is my own opinion that true blue 53 Chiefs were five digit CS 61xxx. May 4 digit 52 Chiefs were registered as 53's as they did not sell untill the next model year. Again, that is MY OPINION.Comment

Far more '53 chiefs exist today than Indian ever built. Like many desirable machines that are easily faked it does happen all too often. Make sure it has proper documentation and a known history. That it just didn't appear out of thin air!
