Any suggestions for removing and preventing rust in the fuel tank?

Hello all, I noticed some light rust forming in the fuel tank. I try to keep the tank full when the bike is not ridden for long periods of time.
Any suggestions for removing and preventing rust in the fuel tank would be appreciated.

    Long may you ride.

    Tim.

Filling the tank with White Vinegar will remove the rust over a period a a few days. A tank that is kept full of gas with no water in it shouldn't rust as gas is oil. Keep the vinegar in a plactic bucket and use it for derusting other parts.
