Ya i am pretty computer oriented ,i used the search function searched the fourum manually . I didnt think to look in the PRE 30 SECTION , silly me ... At any rate i am from mass

H-D never built Knucklehead factory racers. However many were built in local dealerships and by private owners primarily for off road events. They were not legal for any sanctioned class C events except hillclimbs and endurance events. Locally they competed in outlaw events. The factory offered magneto conversions and a few odd bits over the years but not much. Most parts were homemade or modified stock parts.
And your spelling and grammar really are weak! Try to pretend your aren't texting your friends!

There were alot of period modified knuckles set up for the Jack pine derby in Michigan. They usually had jacked up trannies to give more ground clearance at the primary cover, and high pipes. I believe John Penton raced one early on before he got the idea that light weight was the answer, and developed the Penton, which turned into KTM, which is still the top woods bike.

the jacked up tranny bikes were in VL frames an old articlle said that the factory built many of them for factory riders in open class TT races

Knucks also have been built with jacked up trannys, I have had the opertunity to see more than one.
