  • Bluegrass Road Run

Just want to say thanks again for a great time at the run. Great roads, food, and the chapter put on an excellent run. Bill Freed

This was my 1st road run and I had a blast. I didn't know anybody when I got there but that was no problem as everyone made me feel welcome. 130+ old bikes, great roads(even with the land slide detour), well run, great restaurant suggestions, and new friends. What more could you ask for! I can't wait for the next one I can attend.

Thanks Bill & Bob for the complements. Response to our first ever Nat'l Road Run has been overwhelmingly positive, even in spite of the heat wave, mud slide, and river drowning that all affected our ride routes. We had a number of folks who had never been on this type of event, and they all seemed to have a terrific time. I'm really proud of the guys that put this run together. Except for myself, none of them had ever even been on a road run before to know what to expect. This Chapter is still very new, and with the few members it has, I'm exceptionally proud of their results.

The Bluegrass Chapter is going to continue doing local runs (1-day runs), and we welcome all AMCA members that are interested in joining us.

Brian, Thanks to all your team for a great time. I might mention that a special thanks is in order to the hotrod shop guy who pressed out Dave's magneto bearing and the young man at the altenator/starter shop who inside knurled the case, pressed in the bearing, cleaned the aluminum off the magnet, and pressed it back in so Dave and I only missed the first day's ride. They stopped what they were doing, wouldn't take a dime (we wouldn't take no for an answer), great southern hospitality at it's finest. You it a homerun. Loved the bluegrass music and the bourbon tour! hope to see you out our way sometime. Left Coast Rich

Just put a post in the obits for Ray J, who drove chase for most of the Run. He will be missed.
