Well, I spent the better part of a week out running around on my '48 FL. I put on some decent miles and rode through torrential rain storms as well as blazing hot sunny days. The Panhead gave me a little grief but in the end decided to mellow out and ran like a dream.
The Laughing Indian Riders held a road run in the Okanagan region of British Columbia and those shiney Indians were put to use!!! There were folks from the Canadian Provinces of Alberta and B.C. and some of our neighbors from Washington and Idaho showed up as well. It was a great road run and fun was had by all. Two of us rode Harleys and only received a good natured ribbing for doing so. I find that the evenings are some of the better times with all the stories and yarns being spun late into the night. I came home exhausted but it's a good kind of tired. I have to go back to work tomorrow but if I had my way I would saddle up and head off for another gathering somewhere.
After the road run there was a vintage rally at the O'Keefe Ranch in Vernon, B.C. It's a perfect spot for an old bike event and has a flattrack for the folks who want to go fast. It's a nice laid back event and I find myself drawn that way this time of year.
I didn't take as many photos as a usually do but here are few shots.
Here's a small group of us waiting for the second wave to catch up....
Here's a group of us parked outside the Kettle Valley Railway station. It has a steam engine from 1916 that's hooked up to some passenger cars and will take you on a trip through the past.
A cool little '43 WLC waiting patiently to be taken for a ride.
This bike belonged to Walt Healy. He was the Indian dealer for Calgary, Alberta for many years and it ain't no stock Sport Scout!!!
