  • VIDEO Start and Ride 1936 EL Harley Knucklehead

This is a bike I never thought I'd own but I am pleased to have a real 1936 EL Harley Knucklehead.

I sold my 1947 Indian Chief and a BMW R100RS to do the deal but I am thrilled this happened.

Here is a video we shot of me starting and riding it the day I bought it. What an amazing machine!

I know it is not totally correct and would appreciate any and all info you have to help me with this machine. My goal is to keep it as a fun and functional rider.

just a thought buzz -IMHO open 1 petcock till that tank empty, then open other to use that tank - opening both only balances amount in both tanks.
you still get same milage but if not paying attention to amount of gas used when you run out your stranded. the other way holy crap I still have a tank of gas to get home

Thanks. That is what I usually do but the seller told me there is a reserve setting on the petcock on the left side tank. But I am always learning more about these wonderful old bikes.

I'll do my best to do just that Robbie! This is one fun bike that I had out yesterday for some road work.
