Where the car is parked was the location of Walter & Wittig on Lovers Lane at N. Main St. This is the only ad I ever found for Comet Motorcycles. Lover Lane is now called Union St. In the Wisconsin registrations there were a number of Comet owners in the Hartford area. Where are those bikes now? I tracked down relatives who had no idea their ancestors owned Comet and Indian motorcycles which is pretty typical. Nobody had any photos.

Typical roads for 1910. Imagine what it was like when it rained or snowed. Water tower in the back ground was for the Kissel Motor Car Co.
