I have a slightly different view of Pem's pic labeled: P. Shilovslago on the streets of London

    Here's another version:

    Or this one?

    Somehow "trike" doesn't say enough.

You mean if the front wheel hit a really deep pothole, Jerry?

That would be more like a catapult.

      The design looks durable...

      • Here is a vehicle in front of Canada's parliament building around 1912. I have some information on the vehicle but will have to look for it. I believe it was made in Connecticut. unknown vehicle 001.jpg

Cotten, think he was referring to those modern Polaris rigs with two wheels in front and one in back?

I thought those were called a Tricar, Harry!

If it was an Indian, anyway,...

            realindians.jpg

Or a Forecar if it was HD:

I can't think of anything polite to call that modern thing.

PS: I can't tell which way this one goes; If a lever is for reverse, it goes both ways!

PPS: It looks like Dayton called it a tricar too:

As I read it the first Pope motorcycle wasn't produced until after the death of founder Colonel Pope around 1910. Here is Colonel Pope's sone Albert Linder Pope.
