Duffy, Paul either won, crashed, or blew it up. He never backed off the throttle. Always to the throttle stop. He's one of the only motorcycle racers in our local Sacramento Sports Hall of Fame. Was lucky to known him. A really"Tough" man.DrSprocket

Thanks for the pics of Billy Wolff. He was a WW I veteran (pic attached of him after landing in England). A number of years ago a guy posted finding a sign (picture attached) outside of a dumpster and in the dumpster was a trunk of water damaged clothes molding including a WW I soldiers uniform. i met Billy in 1970, when my Dad visited me in Lincoln when i was a in college, we visited Billy at his bicycle shop. Billy remembered Dad from having to turn in the '29JD he could not continue to afford payments on. I've posted elsewhere info about Billy. he worked on motorcycles with his brother before US got involved and returned to motorcycles upon his return home. Billy also was very active in the city of Lincoln, charity work and bicycles. There is Billy Wolff Trail named in his honor in Lincoln > https://www.gptn.org/the_trails/bill...lff_trail.htmlOriginally posted by badger34Judging by the Billy Wolff nameplate on the front fender of the cycle in the background one could guess the following photo was taken somewhere in Nebraska.
The following photo is of Billy Wolff Lincoln NE H-D dealer.
