Appears to shoot right-handed with a left-hand shifter (and presumeably a right-hand throttle).
Meanwhile, by the second lesson, the ladies at least straightened their elbows...

The one sign in the forefront left appears to say "Lake". Did a little searching based on this with California and there is a Northern Cal Lake County.
