I liked the different types of hats the guys wee wearing in #4590. Everyone different. Plus the photos were pretty cool too!

I was wondering about those tow bars on the servi-cars and dispatch tows. (#4592) I'm sure there are some still out there, you just don't see them anywhere.

My dad worked at a Pontiac/Buick Dealer for his entire career. I remember when I was a pup, in the early 50's, the dealership had a servi-car with a tow bar attached. There used to be a fella who was the only employee who was allowed to use the contraption. The shop manager was afraid that if an inexperienced worker somehow picked up a customers car with the three wheeler, it might come back to the shop with the servi-car needing more repair than the customers vehicle. My Dad used to always yell at me when I tried crawling around on the motorcycle while stored in the back of the shop waiting on a service call. I used to dream that someday I'd get to ride on it... never happened.

I bought my own Harley after I turned 16, several years later.
I finally got my first Indian about 3 yrs later after returning from VietNam in Jan.of 1970. My 46' chief changed my life forever. So far its been a pretty good ride. C2K

I hope Alice in Dairyland's rayon skirt doesn't melt on those pipes. But if it does, you can remove the stain with oven cleaner and a plastic scraper.

This same woman wearing the same outfit on the same bike I once identified as Harley-Davidson's own Crystal Haydel. Possibly I got that wrong. Lillian Hauerwas was another Milwaukee hometown girl who rode a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Any clue who this girl is? Very pretty girl despite the dowdy attire. Beautiful 1916 electric twin and probably a promotional picture. Always wondered what she is measuring out of that can.

Several years ago (probably 8- 10) I was at an antique car meet and bought an Indian seat T for like $20. Advertised on here I think for sale or trade, can't remember. Was contacted from a member in northern OH. I traded him the seat T for a HD tow bar. We were both happy with the trade, him an Indian guy and me HD with no personal use for either of the parts. His daughter lived close to me, so she handled the trade. This year at Wauseon I got to talking to a guy about parts and crap and low and behold I met the guy. We both discussed the deal and his daughters' residence. Life is cool!

I hate to judge women's weight, but I think in #4592 the weight capacity might have been exceeded. But hey, I wouldn't complain!

Isn't this the same girl in both photos wearing almost the exactly same outfit? Which I personally find quaint and fashionable for the day. This (girl pouring) photo I originally identified as Lillian Hauerwas, but later I obtained the other girl-on-bike photo from the Harley family that identified the girl rider as Crystal Haydel. They look and are dressed so similar that I wondered if the girl pouring photo might be Crystal Haydel too and not Hauerwas. But the one you posted identifies that one as Lillian Hauerwas. It's one of the other -- or possibly both.
