Thanks JoJo. I didn't find anything online about it. Hopefully someone has some ideas. BTW your State Patrolman above has a hog leg and two belts of ammo. Must have been a rough patrol.

Good eye James. I thinks they were a Colt Walker or facsimile? Ya man, that trooper is ready to hit D.C., or Chi~Town. Hahaha.

The Policeman in #4536 is on an earlier 1930 Harley VL, still with the two piece valve covers and the forward fuel tank filler on the right. He's already lost one pedal rubber off his kicker. And like you say, off to patrol a two-bandolier district.

I would like to see a close up of the Truing Stations at the BSA plant. How they were operating them. And what were the cylinders in front of the operators?

I believe the those cylinders are attached to the electrical conduit and somehow rotate the wheels to check the truing process. Those poor ladies were packed in there pretty tight. What happens when you have to use the bathroom?

The picture is from 1914 and taken at the St Louis Motordrome. The Excelsior rider is John Hoefeler, but the fellow on the right is unknown. He does have a helmet so one could presume he was also a rider. If anyone knows who he is, please chime in.
