A church member gave me a number of issues of Motorcycling (1911-1914), The Bicycling World and Motorcycle Review (1914-1915) and Motorcycle Illustrated (1914-19150. She is the grand-daughter of Thor racer George Sorensen of Beacon NY who finished 4th at the 1914 Savannah 300 and 8th at the 1914 Dodge City 300. As a thank-you to her I would like to ask if anyone has any authoritative information on Mr. Sorensen? I would like to tell her more about her grandfathers' career as a racer on his mighty Thor.
As an aside, this is the first time I ever held, much less read, a 100 year old motorcycle magazine. Amazingly, there are very familiar names as advertisers - Champion spark plugs, Diamond and Renold chains, Remy magnetos (nee' Delco-Remy) and Bosch.
Any information on Mr. Sorensen out there?
