    I read in the March 2021 issue of the AMA magazine that July 11 has been established as Antique Motorcycle Enthusiast Day. I see in the second link I attached that Ross Metcalfe commented on the resolution so I assume the AMCA higher ups know about this. Maybe this has been posted or printed in our magazine and I missed it. Is this something we can add to our calendar next year? Maybe our own get out and ride your antique motorcycle day? Thanks.

      I think this Day was promoted to sponsoring legislators by the AMCA. Keith Keizer and Ross Metcalfe we’re part of this project to heighten the awareness of Antique Motorcycles in the USA.

          Bob, AFJ is correct. The resolution that Rep. Troy Balderson presented to Congress was actually written by me with cooperation with SEMA and past board member Donnie Eatherly. These type of recognitions cannot by sponsored or represent one company or organization, even tough it was 100% an AMCA effort, anyone can take advantage of it. Since Rep. Balderson is from Ohio and works closely with the AMA, they took full advantage of promoting the day.

          Unfortunately, Coronavirus put a damper on our plans to make a big deal out of it. We will regroup and do something in a bigger way in 2022. To see the full write-up please see my column in the September / October 2020 issue of The Antique Motorcycle.
