I've written (in some of my booklets and on my web site) about reasons and effects of selecting different internal transmission ratios. Before I offer to do a column for the magazine, does anyone have any specific topics they would like to see explored?

Some are evil.
But the AMCA crew allowed me to review, edit, and even compose some of the last article where I was quoted.
Kitabel will be a LOT pickier, fer sure.
I avoided all aggravation by never reading the hardcopy.
That way it didn't bother me a bit.

PS: Kitabel! Will you address other marques than HD?
A Historical perspective always makes it my favorite...Last edited by T. Cotten; 01-05-2019, 03:19 PM.AMCA #776

I've seen much, much worse, but comparing to Buzz Kanter would be a cheap shot.
Our AMCA crew deserves encouragement.
T'ain't easy.

I was going to compare available H-D 4-speed ratios, 45 close vs std., and common British-4 speeds because I have lots of data on tooth counts, etc. I figured that the KR/XLR variations don't really have much street value (all super close). I know nothing about other American boxes.
Some of it will be math, but also some reccos on race strategy.
I already have too much on my plate, this may take a while.
