Greetings fellow AMCA presidents (or listed contact for your corresponding chapter). Just want to reach out in regard to the recent email sent out on Presidents selecting a board member from one of us. Many of you may know me and I’m sure a lot of you don’t. Just wanted to introduce myself and say I would appreciate any votes my way from your chapter. I am a younger guy in this vintage world at 41 but have been in the AMCA for 19 years. I care deeply about having a voice for our chapters as well as hopefully bringing some positive change to the board. My whole adult life has been in the motorcycle industry. From working as a tech at a Harley dealer to running my own shop in Ohio and now owner of Strange Bird Manufacturing, a vintage motorcycle parts manufacturer based out of northeastern Ohio. I have been the president of the Lake Erie chapter for 8 years and the editor for 10 years. Since that time our chapter has grown to the largest chapter in the AMCA at 438 paid members for 2026 as of today as well as 4 honorary members including past president Rocky Halter and National Archivist Bruce Linsday. I am also an active cog in the wheel to the Wauseon National meet. With my business in the vintage motorcycle industry it also means I tend to vend at most national meets. I feel this is an advantage having a view from actual experiencing the events, talking to the members of the host chapters, and the customers/ enthusiasts that attend them for longer than a good chunk of the board has even been in the AMCA. I also try to attend road runs when I can. Even traveling far to some of the great ones put on by the SoCal chapter at Borrego springs and Death Valley. Even got some education on Max Bubeck from the great Jerry Hatfield. I could talk about some of the great people I have met in this club forever. It is responsible for making me some of the best friends I have ever had in my life. With that said, I hope that conveys my deep care to provide a voice and vote to the board with a mindset of what’s best for our chapters and this club. It seems that has gotten lost more now than ever. I hope I can count on your vote before the end of the month by using the link that the National sent you all in an email 8/28/2026. I also invite any conversation or concerns of yours. Feel free to reach out directly to me or don’t hesitate to call. I am easy to get ahold of.
