Perkiomen Meet

You would think that with the Perkiomen Chapter Meet of the AMCA (Oley) being the next National Meet on the calendar that someone would have something to say about this meet coming up this week!!!

So, I know the calendar says that the event is Friday April 24th and Saturday April 25th but when are the vendors allowed to show up and set up!! Seems to be some confusion because I am hearing of folks showing up on Thursday so if that happens then by Friday all the good stuff will be gone, just saying!!

There will be a major discussion at meet about making a decision about which days to use for meets.

I go about 9-10am thursday and things are usually going strong.Some friends and vendors show up Wednesday.
Last year wednesday morning and early afternoon were pretty quiet,Friday afternoon lots of vendors leaving.

Unfortunately people are stubborn and do not want to make it more of a weekend meet. Lots of action between friends on Wednesday before the general public arrives, Thursday and Friday are the days to be there. If the weather is good, you might have 60% of vendors hanging for Saturday, if cold and rainy Saturday is watching judging and drinking at the fire house. Many pack up after lunch on Friday, very frustrating for those of that work and have to take time off. Even then it is 3.5 hours away, I take off Friday and by the time I get there guys are packing!?!?!?

If you can make Thursday happen and really need bits, that is your best bet. Right now weather looks good for Thursday and Friday, but rain on Saturday, they will pack up before they get wet.
