AMCA and Mees Promotions Announce the Inaugural Springfield Mile Swap Meet
An Exciting New Chapter in Motorcycle History Begins at the Legendary Springfield Mile

The Antique Motorcycle Club of America (AMCA) is thrilled to announce a historic collaboration with 10-time AMA Grand National Champion Jared Mees and Mees Promotions, marking the debut of the Springfield Mile Swap Meet on August 30th & August 31st, 2025, at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. This exciting new event will take place inside the famed Springfield Mile, the iconic racetrack that has witnessed over eight decades of motorcycle racing heritage.

With the support of the AMCA and the St. Louis Gateway Chapter, Mees Promotions is expanding this historic event with the addition of the AMCA Springfield Mile Swap Meet.

Vendor Registration is now open. Visit Event Page. We are limiting this years spaces to only 350. All spots are 20' x 20'. If all goes according to plans, we have the room to expand to 700 spots for next year's National Meet.

Please note, we realize this event is on Labor Day weekend, which dates back to the 1930's. It also falls on the same week as Chief Blackhawk's Davenport event. We are in no way trying to interfere or take away from that event, but as we know, many vendors leave Davenport on Friday. The Springfield Mile is and will always be a Saturday/Sunday event, and in our case, with vendor set-up on Friday. If this works with your plans, we would love to have you join us and have a front row seat to AMA's oldest and most prestigious flat track races, all while sitting in the comfort of your vending spot.

Keep in mind, this is a swap meet inside an active one-mile racetrack. Vendor spaces are only $50 per spot and includes one weekend infield pass and one vehicle pass per vendor....NOT per spot. The one who purchases the spot(s) are limited to one weekend infield pass. One helper (crew/guest) can purchase a weekend infield pass for only $20 for the weekend. All additional passes are $20 per day (Saturday and Sunday) and must be purchased through the race promoter. All weekend credential fees and $20 per vendor spot are passed through to Mees Promotions, LLC. AMCA nor the Gateway Chapter share in any of the infield passes revenue. $20 from each vendor space sold goes to the promoter.

Grandstand passes can be purchased from the promoter at the entrance to the grandstands on the outside of the track. You can reach the grandstands through the pedestrian gate on the South end of the Tunnel road. Grandstand passes sell for $45 per day, which includes racer paddock access. Your weekend armband allows you to upgrade your pass with a $20 discount for a per-day price of $25.

Vendor spaces next to the light poles in the center of the field have great exposure to the back straight and turns 2 and 3. Early bird gets the best view. Don't delay in registering.

The vendor gate opens on Friday, April 29 at 11:00am for REGISTERED vendors. 2:00pm for non-registered vendors, unless we are sold out.

Golf cart rentals will be available from the Fairgrounds starting at $60/day. Nice tiled showers are available for use. You might need a golf cart to get there.

NOTE: You must be a current AMCA member to be a vendor at the Springfield Mile AMCA Swap Meet. You can renew your membership or join on-line at www.antiquemotorcycle.org
Or contact AMCA Customer Service at (631) 870-3393.

To Register, you must be logged in on the AMCA Website. Then you can click on the Red Registration button below. See a larger version of the vendor map below.

Mark your calendars for August 30th and 31st, 2025, and visit the Springfield Mile page on Events / National Meets and Road Runs page for more information on vendor registration, ticketing, and event details.

Seems like the Amca is trying to ruin Davenport. You people shouldn't be that way, shame.

Not at all. Jared first offered this extended event to Chief Blackhawk, who kindly declined, understandably. The offer came to the AMCA understanding that many vendors leave Davenport on Friday as many of them attend the Springfield Mile as spectators. We also know that there are a lot of AMCA members who have never returned to Davenport after Chief Blackhawk left the AMCA. This were two contributing factor to the board agreeing to allow this non-national event to go forward as long as the St. Louis Gateway Chapter ran the event. We made it clear in our invitation to vendors that we are not trying to detract from Davenport.

        Its because they died, Keith.

D-port is definitely over by noon Saturday, since it effectively starts on Wednesday.

I'd love to hit Springfield, but I'll be exhausted!

I agree with Cotton. I can barely move after I leave Davenport. Prep, setup & teardown is a lot of work. Expectations of sales would be low.

              Do I understand correctly, Keith,

The races go on at the same time?

              Infields get dusty fast,

Its been three decades; Did they pave the horse track?

              ....Cotten

The mile is clay, and they ride the blue groove religiously. I go almost every year, and depending on the wind, it shouldn't get that dusty in the infield. Haha~ they will never pave that horsey track Tom.

Which way would the wind be in the vendor's favor, M.A.D?

Since they are parked within the bulls'eye, hope for less than the coating I get every year at D-port, where its only one evening of races, and I'm shielded completely by the grandstand building.

                  102 spectator parking spaces?

Cotten, What M.A.D. said. Plus the majority of the dust will be to the outside of the track, I wouldn't worry about the infield. Pay no attention to the spectator parking on the map. This is for AMCA swap meet parking only. There are tons of RACE parking on the other side of the infield. The vast majority of the spectators for the race are in the grandstands and park on the outside of the track.
