So ya wanna hear another good one??? Guy from NY calls me yesterday around noon when I took a break for lunch. He tells me how a few guys were complaining they didn't sell hardly anything this past weekend at Terryville. One of the guys from Jersey told him things were so slow on Saturday he didn't bother putting anything out for sale? Now remember this is what I was told. So ya drove up here probably 3+ hours from NJ to a swap meet and on one of the two selling days you didn't try to put anything out and try sell anything? Because you THOUGHT it was slow?? And then you commented to the other guy how a lot of my stuff was still on my table? Did ya see the nice original paint kidney toolbox I still had on my table? It was the 3rd one I put out. The other two sold for $350 each and I took the last one home. (One came from two I got from CS in a trade. Second one was in my stash for probably 20+ years and the third one came from Alan's pile of stuff he left me to sell) Notice the nice working springer horn with the perfect original face that was still sitting there? It was the second one I had put out and it sold last minute Saturday just like the first one for $350. And I brought a 6V charger to show the buyers that it did work! ....Dum Dum, I didn't put them all out at the same time to make it appear the market was flooded. You're a great guy but when it comes to SELLING stuff your the guy in the pinball arcade with both hands and both pockets filled with quarters and ya can't pull the trigger on your own stuff. Go back to your spot and worry about your stuff and forget about me and what i'm doing! After what I heard about you trying to sell your own motorcycle you are the last guy who should be commenting about what other guys are selling or not selling. I would never want to get a tutorial from you when it comes to selling parts at a swap meet. And that is why you will never see me on social media. I could give a flying carp about what everyone else is doing and what everyone else said. I worry about myself and don't want to look like part of bunch of tired old grey haired women in a sewing circle. When everyone else gets off their phones and starts paying attention we might be able to get a few more good years in this hobby before we all kick the bucket. Sorry but I couldn't resist! LOL? Hah! ...And this is my LAST comment on the mater, I promise!!! ...I'm outta here! ... Again., RESPECTFULLY, 46EL/Jp
PS; to all the people who looked at my stuff and commented on what nice things I had for sale I appreciate it very very much. DONE

I saw frames, springers, bars, brakes, sheet metal, tanks, transmissions, wheels, oil tanks, horns headlights, fender lights, dash components, seats, seat t's and seat posts, footboards, kickstands etc etc etc etc etc??? All there for the pickin if you had the cash? Were you on a mission to find something or there to socialize? And then criticize? Love to know? 46EL
Dude, take your foot off the gas pedal for a second. I was nothing but complimentary of the meet, I only commented that the majority of the vendors were selling Indian stuff, and I stand by that comment. Not a negative, an observation.

Glad you saw it differently.......its was basically a flop as a swap meet.... But like others said was nice to BS and meet up with a few friends. It will probably take a while but it'll grow. Glad you did well........The folding up and putting everything away by 11am is the only thing i think could change. Lots of us ole bastards still work..so no thursday/ friday or 6am sats.....

You get to see friends you don't see too often. You get to see rusty junk. You get to hang with like-minded people. You get to see fantastic old motorcycles riding around. ALL meets are good meets. It depends on what you are looking for.
