We have started having a weekly get together down here in south Fl every Sunday at 8am, the purpose was to have more interaction between club members, get our antique motorcycles out there for others to enjoy, and have a great time swapping stories, and making new friends. We've been doing this for a few months now, and I thought a weekly meet would make it possible for every one in the chapter to find a week they were available to come out, where as a fixed date made it sometimes difficult for some members schedules to attend. It's been catching on, and now the locals know when the "old bikes are comin ". It's great talking to folks riding newer machines about our antiques, and they are genuinely interested in them, you never know, they might get the bug , and get into the hobby one day. riding our vintage bikes, and having them out I think really promotes our hobby( and it's a hell of a lot of fun riding them).
