  • Cherokee Chapter AMCA at Pate Transportation Swapmeet 2016 Texas Motor Speedway

It is with Great Pride that we announce we have just acquired 400 spaces for the Cherokee Chapter Regional AMCA, Concourse De Pate at the 44th annual Pate Transportation Swap meet at the Texas Motor Speedway, 20 miles north of Fort Worth, Texas for April 28 to May 1, 2016. Set up day will be April 27, 2016

After the major success we had at the event this year we have acquired more spaces as a direct request of last years vendors wanting to expand for 2016. At this starting point we are 50% presold by last years vendors at the meet and have acquired more spaces to able to expand. Vendors of all Vintage, Classic and Antique motorcycle related items are invited to join us. Being centrally located from both US Coasts and all of the Midwest, Southern and Central states our attendance numbers pleased Pate Management, who is working with us to improve our event.

Pate rules did not allow us to expand till after all last years Pate vendors had 30 days to mail in their prepayments for 2016, then we had first pick of available spaces to add to our last years spaces.

This event is open to all vintage and antique Motorcycle groups of all brands. We were well attended by 135 Motorcycles in the Concourse De Pate, from 1908 up and this year we will have a special all weather show area for the best of the best. We thank all the Chapters and Vintage clubs for their support. Hopefully we will have all the details posted end of the month on www.cherokeeamca.org as well as all great forums.

All motorcycle spaces for the Concourse De Pate or Vendor spaces are available from the Pate Cherokee Chapter Chairman, Shelby Withrow, Membership and Events Director. shelbyinparadise@compuwise.net

I wish to thank all those who have helped spread the word about the Cherokee Chapter Regional Spring Swap Meet with the Huge Pate Transportation Swap meet. We have moved from a small venue in Smithfield Texas to be part of the largest Swap Meet in America, passing Hershey, Pa. in size. If one walks down all 15 streets it is a 15.5 mile hike. Pate has allowed us to create an area for Antique Motorcycle display, swap meet vendors, 325 spaces, and the ability to have a huge social function attended by many AMCA chapters to be part of this venue.

We set a new standard for good clean fun for the whole Cherokee Chapter and Guests with Pride We are in the final stages of planning for our third year of growth at Pate Transportation Swap Meet. In 2016 we set up an open grill for the lunch and supper pot luck style with plenty of donated food. We are looking forward to many years growth. It is a shame the Oley Meet dates were change so national vendors can not attend both a week apart.
Our Public Antique Motorcycle Display was well received by the public. Mark the Dates April 27 to 30th 2017 and contact us for more info on our vending spaces. Shelby Withrow, Events Director, Cherokee Chapter

I went 2 years ago and it was fun.
I do wish Pates would keep the non-automotive type stuff out. Not likely though!
