For the third straight year the Cherokee Chapter will exhibit a broad collection of Antique Motorcycles at the Jeff Williams two day Custom Car and Motorcycle Show at the Oklahoma fairgrounds. See www.cherokeeamca.org for more details under events. This has turned into a Valentine Day Tradition for a lot of our couples and friends to spend a special weekend with friends in Oklahoma City. Nice Hotel, restaurants, a very social weekend.
At the Show we are visited by AMCA members that belong to nearby states Chapters or do not have a local Chapter. Started as part of our Reach Out Program that began as a Chapter pilot program which has become a huge success recruiting new members. It is hard to argue with the success of going to Non AMCA events and exposing your chapter to thousands of people that have old bike or interest but were unaware of our Club.
At the Dallas Motorcycle Expo last weekend we signed up 8 new members and had a lot of fun with old and new friends at our booth. For all the AMCA members without a local chapter, look at us as a Virtual Chapter, we do not have monthly Meetings, we have events all over the 5 state area around Texas, where members get together locally, as well as travel to Major Motorcycle Events across the country with other AMCA Chapters and Vintage or Antique Clubs. Great Website and Newsletter, a Board of Directors that work for the Members enjoyment.
