  • Old Wheel ID

Good morning, not really clear where to post this.

I was going through my boxes of Harley wheels and found this rim. There was a half-width brake hub in the box too. What do I have here? That is, what was it used on and when?

I posted the question on an Ironhead forum, but they said a 1.85 width rim was never used on them. It has 40 spoke holes, so it wasn't an old Sprint or other Aermacchi Harley. Perhaps a Brit bike?

    Thanks, Joe

It looks like a rim Harley started using for FX and XL models that used metric spokes but I can’t be sure from the pictures.

That Radaelli rim was never used for H-D. They used Borrani alloy rims due to their connection with Aermacchi. It was likely a Ducati, Benelli, or Moto Guzzi rim. Many used 40 spoke holes. The Brits used Jones and Dunlop rims.
