Rubone wrote back on another site that they did come in black or white originally, but when they added the "A" designation they went with gray. Got a white one on my shovel, but the one on my wife's panhead got kinda fried when I had dual exhaust on it with that god-awful cover that went over the left side pipe. Took the left exhaust off and exposed the mangled solenoid cover.
