    Saddlebag plate 4 hole question

In process of acquiring the 4 hole plates for the saddlebags. I am seeing that there are 2 different center hole spacing for the 4 hole plates. The spacing on my fender is 3 5/8 between the center holes .but I am seeing 3 11/16 spacing plates also. I can't find any reference in my parts book. Maybe reading it wrong?
    mid year change?
    Are these both OEM plates?

Without pictures of the plates it is difficult to reply. Many companies made saddlebags and had their own plates.

Do we know when or at what vin number did the saddlebag plates in 48 go from 4 hole flat plate to the 4 hole dimple plate on the loc tite bags? I have seen a OP 48 with 6000 vin still has the flat plates on the loc tite bags..Any other guys with OP 48's have the bags on them?
