Drivers are trying to kill me with no turn signals on my 46 servi

HI everyone: I'm driving a 46 servicar survivor. Drivers in my state don't appear to understand hand signals . Can anyone suggest a helmet turn signal system that I can use without compromising my electrical system. Id prefer not hard wiring anything , she can be temperamental electronically. I don't want to mount anything on my bike as she's in an original state , but I dont want to get squashed either. Appreciate your input .

Perhaps magnetic (removeable) wireless LEDs of some sort? That's the only thing I can come up with that meets all the criteria. Hope this helps.....Smitty

Maybe a dedicated:
-Lightweight lithium battery;
-Signal wiring harness totally separate with from the servi-cars ignition and lighting system.
-As Smitty mention magnet mounted LEDs.
-Some switches and a flasher.
-Hook and Loop/Velcro.

Then when you get safely home simply recharge you signal lithium battery.
Maybe check out some Bicycle Catalog Sites the pedal crowd seems to have some bright;
lightweight weather proof gear.

If your brake lights won’t slow the drivers down behind you, why would you think a turn signal would? I start slowing up way before my turn watching my mirror and pumping the brakes if I have to.

You misunderstood… the issue isnt my break lights… I get that…. ) the issue I’m trying to deal with is the drivers don’t understand hand signals

This is a real problem. So many drivers, especially the younger ones, on the road today have never seen or are aware of the use of hand signals.

My nephew has a bicycle helmet with built in turn signals. Works via a switch clamped to the handlebars. Must be something similar for motorcycle helmets out there somewhere.

These look pretty cool and may be worth a try, but I'd worry that the driver behind is not looking for signals on your helmet so you wouldn't be any better off. At least they probably see your arm, just don't know what it means. Maybe you put the lights on your helmet then use your arm to point to the flashing helmet light , something they'll understand?

Might be slightly bigger (and more expensive) than what you're looking for, but possibly a decent fit for a servicar? At least it's an option.

Personally I would mount signals on the bike itself. It would be simple to attach to the bumper brackets and use correct H-D accessory lights with modern LED bulbs in them. No damage to the machine. And LEDs draw very little or a simple auxiliary battery hidden in the box.

The issue is with all non-turn signal bikes. When hand/arm signaling movement is a key indicator, it catches the eye of humans...even doing this I have people in cars waving back, thinking I am waving at them. At least it gets their attention. Not being negative about this, although next could be state or federal turn signal mandates for old iron...are hand signals still covered in driver's ed...must not be.
