Chris you are correct. I started this discussion asking if anybody knew who made the one that I have pictured. Now I know.

That is NOT a H-D rack. In the listing they attribute it to "Nation Built". Don't be fooled by the H-D box. They show the same box in all of their listings.

I have one that looks like number 2. It has aluminum end pieces and HARLEY-DAVIDSON is stamped on the end pieces. It is some kind of knockoff as H-D never had that Item that I have been able to find.

Not exactly the same over the years but it carries a 1917 part number. There are lots of variations on construction to fit different style fenders over the years. The one pictured fits the '34 up style wide fenders and is the same for BT and 45 except for lower mounting hardware. It ended with introduction of the big flat rack in '42 although it continued the same part number for either style.

Is your luggage rack stamped with Comisky?
Yes, I have a couple, one with steel end plates and one with aluminum.

Robbie; I've never got the copy and paste figured out. But, I'll try it again. Great eyeball on the number of rails. Is your luggage rack stamped with Comisky? Also, great display cases and contents !!

A link isvery simple Craig, easier than signing in to this site... at the top of the page is the page adress (HTTP....etc). Just highlight it and copy and paste into your post.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Na...MAAOSwOEJdnJaT

and the 4 rail rack he shows is likely for a smaller bike.

    This one is a Comisky
