  • 1938 UL or UH80 owner's manuel

    I'm looking for a original or a copy of a 1938 Ul or UH80 owner's manuel..

    Thank you

There is no "manual." Are you referring to the rider's "Instructions for Running and Adjusting 74 and 80 Twin Models" pamphlet (74803894)? There's a pretty good reprint of that in Harley PN99407-93, the "1930 thru 1947 Models Operation, Maintenance, Specifications" book ($35).

But an original? Is this to display with your original tool roll, on the ground next to your bike? The first Big Twin "service manual" and it covers your bike, is the 1940-1947 OHV and UL Service Manual.

There is part #748037 this one is a 1947 revision but originally is from '37. I'm pretty sure that I sold a '38 revision.Next to it is the #74803894 that sarge is talking about.[IMG][/IMG]

That's right. Examples of them for all the different models are reprinted in that reprint book I listed above, "Harley PN 99407-93, the "1930 thru 1947 Models Operation, Maintenance, Specifications" book ($35). I have no idea if it's still available, but it was available a few years ago at your local stealership, or perhaps they can still order it with that -93 part number. Good luck!
