I LOVE pre-1920s bikes but could never afford one. Since I can build/rebuild just about anything, have LOTS of time and almost no money (otherwise known as retired), I would like to build a replica of an early Indian V-twin.
I would rather not build an engine from scratch (though I will if I have to). Even starting from a rusted lump would be better than nothing.
I am looking for an engine to rebuild - no luck so far - and I would rather not take one out of "the collect's market" if possible. I keep seeing modern replicas but can't track down the engine maker(s) or anything that looks like a teens engine. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Any suggestions on how to turn up an engine? Any condition (but it has to be inexpensive!)
Thanks gang!
