      Hi

      I am now extending my search to a '15 3 speed and/or a '14 2 speed gearbox.

      Any help gratefully received

      Cheers Steve

Hey Steve, how can I tell a '15 three speed from a later one? Is there a key to the serial numbers, or some other identifying feature? I think the aluminum ones were early, right? It's something I've been wondering about.

        Thanks,

        Kevin

          Hi Kevin

Have a look at this thread http://www.caimag.com/forum/showthre...s-transmission , once the differences are known it is quite obvious.

The housing and end cover were very different, the screw in tube/cover on the end of the cover is a dead give away for a 1915 transmission, also the gear change shafts in the '15 are near the edge of the housing but are closer to the middle of the housing on a '16 on

          Cheers
          Steve

Thanks Steve, that clears that up. I can now definitely say I don't have any 1915 transmissions. I will keep my eyes open though, and I'll let you know if I come across one.
