Welcome aboard! But there are several different sidecars, for different model bikes, of which you may be inquiring: "LS" "LT" (early in the decade) "LE" (from 1936-on), or even Model "M" delivery package trucks, subdivided to MW (wide track) and others; along side proprietory Goulding Litecars, sold by the factory and dealers for 45 Harleys (that might have been LS) I'm just a dotty old timer forgetting more than I ever knew, but you get the idea.
Basically, to what year and model Harley, or Indian, or what, do you imagine it to be attached?
    Nice avatar you've got there!

It's the "LT" sidecar you're looking for, then, for Big Twins.
        This is a 1933:

Just a photo. And I know people who do own them. My own bike is a '37 with the next model, an LE sidecar, so I've been around them for decades. (story and photos here: http://rmhparkinglot.com/index.php?section=1&page=11). The LT sidecar was made from 1930 thru '36 for your bike, and they were basically identical, except for paint schemes.
There's a serial number on the frame, near where you boot passes the frame when you're in the act of kicking the starter crank, passing the muffler of the bike. It's numbered just like the engine, just "LT" instead of "VL," i.e.: "32LT1234." beginning at the factory each model year with "1000." It's a nice "plus" to have a sidecar frame of the same year as the bike it's on, but not mandatory. All the "LT's" would fit your bike. Be ready to pay in the range of $5-6K for a "complete" one, when you find someone willing to part with one. More commonly, seekers find frames, and most of the rest is available in repop, here and there.
It becomes a quest, but is hardly impossible: L&W Body, of Duncannon, PA, makes brand-new steel bodies, with little passenger doors, and also interiors and windshields, that you can hardly tell from original. He's good. Repop fenders, uses a standard VL wheel, and a repro iron passenger step and a set of connectors. Brake backing plate is a little special, but also uses much of the parts out of the bike's front brake. I think even springs are available, made new. Keep an eye out, and let people know that you're looking, and watch Ebay Motors, category "sidecar." That has around a hundred different items a day listed, and is better if you filter out things like "amplifier" and the names of all the Japanese and European stuff, you can end up with just what you're looking for.
            Home this helps!
