Thank you both for the two responses. Ideally original paint and untouched. However, I will consider other 1956 Panheads as long as they are in Stock/Factory style. I’m only looking for the model year 1956. That 1957 on Facebook is a good looking motorcycle in a color scheme I don’t see too often. Thank you

And keep in mind that '56 isn't a big production year so good examples are thin on the ground.

Happy Friday. Thank you Duke for the private message; I will open it next.

Thank you Rubone for your message. I know I don’t see many 1956 Panhead motorcycles out and about or for sale. Thank you for explaining the low production quantity for 1956.

Yes 1953 to 1957 are all low number. I have a friend looking for a 54 FL and they are practically extinct.

There was a major worldwide recession in the mid '50s leading to the demise of many motorcycle manufacturers and automobile companies. It just about killed the British industry as well as many German companies. H-D hung on primarily by commercial sales.

Howard Belmont the longtime St Paul Minnesota dealer also attributed it all the WW2 veterans settling down and also the English bike invasion.
