As far as "Pop Culture" terms, don't forget these.

Can't help on the lens other than to say I got one off eBay but only after keeping a lookout for one over about a five year period. They were fairly easily lost and are thin on the ground.

A pothole claimed the genuine red dome on my '41EL fender light. It went into the St. Augustine grass at a Baptist church in Orlando. . . Never to be seen again

            Ok Guys,
this is what I am doing And I kind of want an idea of if there's any one else who wants one. I found a artist glass Guy and hes taking the challenge to cast some. Actually hes real excited to do it. We are making a mold using a plastic lens and I will make sure that they are as close to origional. This guy said he will probably do a few just to make sure there perfect as possible. He's very busy but he said its something he's always wanted to do,so im pretty excited. Also when I said we I will pretty much just be saying, Are you done yet? Are you done yet? IF ANYBODY ELSE IS INTERESTED LET ME KNOW.

Whatever you do, don't just depend on that spring retainer to hold it in place. Glue it in with clear silicone for extra safety.

                Rubone,
Thanks so much. I we'll do that exactly. That sounds like a good way to protect investment.
Im adding this. I just saw a good example of boattail sportster fender on ebay for pretty reasonable in this day and age.

Without the red light that looks very similar to the front fender light on my '46 Chief.

That is because it was made by the same supplier (Guide) for both H-D and Indian.

I bought a 1964 Mexican Police bike and the top lens was blue.

                              Chris,
                              Glad you chimed in.
Ive seen pictures of that but, didn't know if it was stock or not. Was it a glass lens and have you seen any other colors.

Mine is glass. Slightly larger than the red lens. Most likely a Mexican PD upgrade.
