    Harley panhead wanted.

Hi all, I am looking for a good 55-57 period correct, unrestored (or old) foot shift panhead.
The more original the better although period modifications are ok. Original or older repaint.
    Thanks.

The more complete, correct and original it is: $$$
A "bitsa" (original appearance, some repro parts, some real parts but wrong year, wrong model Linkert: should be M-74B) saves $$$
If you want to ride it the day you buy it: $$$$

All projects go over budget in both time and money.
Bring a compression gauge, volt meter (fully charged 6 volt battery should read 6.3), and many large color photos of the actual factory model new for comparo. If the engine is warm when you get there... maybe it's a b**** to start from cold.

Yes prices for the restored bikes are lower but good original bikes will always command good money.

I restored a 55 FLE a long time ago. When it was finished I had it set up with zero accessories, solo saddle, no rack, no spots etc. Man it looked fantastic and with that 'police escort" cam really boogied. Then I decided to ride it to some AMCA meets and added bags etc etc. More practical but Ruined the look ! LOL. Just my opinion, I have recently built a 63 and it has spotlights and bags !
