Fuel Shutoff Alignment tool to borrow?

Does anyone have one they would be willing to lend me? I'd pick up shipping costs, of course.

Ask the people who borrowed mine and never returned them. :-(

If I could remember names I would be on them. I have asked one person who swears he returned it.

You might want to contact Tom Cotton. I remember him posting a picture of his shop made one that seems easy to pull off. Bob L

I've never seen one of the tools but tempted to buy an aftermarket one. Are they any good? And (showing my ignorance) what do they actually do, re-shape the tank? If so can it be used on a painted tank with out damage?

I can't personally speak to how well they will be made because I've never purchased anything from him before, but it looks like you could pick one up here: http://www.magnetozoo.com/2011/11/ga...ment-tool.html

I know you were looking to borrow, not to buy, but $50 doesn’t seem like bank breaking material. Maybe you could spring on an early Christmas gift to yourself.

I home-made a tool. If you have access to a lathe and some thread taps, you can make one no problem. Cheers, Sirhr

I have used the vtwin tool and had excellent results.

I did the same thing, and finally got my 1951 tanks to shut off with the knob.

                              Hey Kyle:

I got the tool today-I tried to PM you, but your mailbox is full.

I'll let you know when it is on the way back to you.

                              thanks,
                              Andy Wander
