Is it possible to change out my 6 volt to a 12 volt system? If it is possible how do about making the change? And does anyone have a 6 volt coil?

Why change to 12 volt??!! Install a modern voltage regulator and eliminate the 3 brush system. That alone will solve most of the major problems with 6 volt. I make a solid state voltage regulator that will fit all 3 brush Harleys, 26-53 that use the external cutout, looks just like the original. Check out my web site; www.splitdorfreg.com for more info.
