A friend in Peoria, IL is selling his '48 Chief. The red paint job alone cost him $1,400! It is 12 volt with a Cycle Electric charging system. They want to sell it fairly soon; so, let me know if anyone is interested.

Just got the bike in Peoria running. Found it has a '47 engine on a '48 frame. Still, it is a pretty sweet bike.

The owners of the bike in Peoria now have the spare engine, transmission, & carb that originally came with the bike when it was purchased as a basket case. The spare is a 1948 engine; however, it may not be in great shape and probably does not have numbers that match the frame.
