1969 Shovelhead survivor

This bike gets all the attention when parked in a group. It is an excellent example of a bike that sat for a very long time (around 30 years) and was brought back to life but unaltered cosmetically. It runs great, still has the original Tillotson, I put new tires on it but the old Goodyears were still in pretty good shape (I saved them if you want them). Everything works. Your picture looking down on the speedo, and tanks brings back very fond memories for me, Joe. I had a '69 that was my sole transportation for awhile, and it also took me all over the South-East. I loved that motorcycle; it never let me down and was as reliable as a watch. . . . Until a hit-&-run a-hoe put me, and the bike on the disabled list. I hope you do well with it, and it finds a good home.
