I have a vl frame I would like to sell or trade, but I am not sure how to tell the year. It seems to be in good condition, someone has cut off the front seat mount and put some tabs on to use flat side tanks, but I think they would come off easily.

There are seven different VL frames for us hard core rivet counters, identified in my VL restoration book, although they all go down the road the same. A bobber builder won't care, but the money should be with the VL enthusiast trying to match the frame to his motor. -
