It is a Late '36-'39. Appears to have been polished? Hard to tell with all the grease on it. Maybe you could clean it up and post new pictures on eBay.Be sure to visit;

and ruin the patina?I just sold a speedo and did not clean it.I think it brought much more than if I had cleaned it!The buyer was happy the patina matched his bike.Comment

I`ve had more people that want it left alone that want it cleaned. Half a dozen of one and----------. I punched some key and the ad went on ebay before I was done----obviously it is not for flathead.Comment
