  • Harley VL Clutch Puller Tool, 1930-1936

I just finished a run of these and have them available if anyone would like to buy one.
I only made 20 so act fast.
It is a Clutch Puller Tool for 1930-1936 Harley VL's
This is a special tool for removing the outer clutch plate from the taper of the transmission mainshaft. It is an exact copy of the original Harley tool except for two improvements. These are the hex flats on the body and the ram. The original Harley tool had no way to hold the body and the ram was rotated by hand by means of a shaft that was fitted through the head of the ram. With the flats, it's possible to hold the body with a large wrench while a socket and driver or impact wrench can be used on the ram.
The clutch pull rod should be left in, and protruding from the end of the mainshaft to act as a centering guide for the pullers ram.
All parts are made of alloy steel and properly heat treated.
I have them on eBay for $150 but the price for a forum member is $135. Shipping is extra.
Email, call, or PM me if you would like one.

This is a great tool, and I've been using one of Mark's VL clutch pullers for the last several years. Because it pulls from the hub it saves distorting the plates by prying at them, and also saves distorting the drum should you try using a big three leg puller. Maybe Mark will have a couple left at Oley?

I only have 4 pullers left if anyone was thinking about getting one, but putting it off.

I'm about to start work on day 1927 J
Would this clutch hub tool work on my clutch?
And do you have any left?
              Thanks

No it will not work on a JD clutch, only on a VL clutch.
