Hello---I have what my friend thinks is an early 1936 Knucklehead transmission case-needs work- for sale on Ebay for $100.00. I also have some of the gears from that case listed that I am selling for him. I have a couple early pan engine case pieces for parts listed. I don`t know how to do that link stuff but go to Advance search and Seller and put in woodfire8863 and you can see all my treasures. Buy something--help the old and infirm get to the casino!! Thanks

That is the first design '36 case. No cover over the end of the shaft on the outside. Second design had a cover held on with two screws and third had four screws. Having the studs ripped out of the bottom of the case is standard for the '36 which didn't have the fifth mount to secure it and keep it from rocking. Extremely late '36 had the fifth mount on the frame and an adaptor on the transmission which bolted to it.
The kicker cover is also the first design and much harder to find than the case.Be sure to visit;
