    1947-1950 Left Side Gas Tank

Hello---I have listed a 1947-1950 gas tank--probably fit other years also--on Ebay for $100.00. It may be the 47 only but I don`t know--probably the 48-50. If someone can explain how the bottom is different, let me know. This tank is really, really clean inside. I also have a spotlight lens--68660-38--listed for $20.00. On Ebay I am woodfire8863 and the listings start with "Antique Harley Davidson---". Thanks-Doug

What's the verdict on the relief indents on the underside..? I'm curious to know.

Doug That is a 1948 to 1950 tank. The 2 little reliefs in the bottom are a lot smaller on a knuckle tank as it did not need as much clearance. Jerry

Most '47 right and left left tanks are flat bottom. The indented tanks were late season at the earliest, and changes continued into the early Panhead years. Also, any replacement tanks made later had indentations.
