I saw him race in '07. I couldn't help but grin at the fact that he was still on the track. Pretty impressive! Race in Peace seems fitting Jerry.

I have known Cliff since 1971 when I returned from Viet Nam with a pocket full of cash and a desire for a new Norton Commando. Cliff was the ultimate competitor. Stop wasn't part of his vocabulary. From Daytona Beach in 1949 to Dyracuse Mound in 2008 it was full throttle. Godspeed my friend.

I stopped by Cliff's shop a few years ago and talked to him. Might have taped him. At the time he told me that he owned a 36EL motor, altho I didn't see it. I think he said he also knew Fats Lauby and that crowd. Another old timer gone.
